Got Egg Nog? After the holidays we’ve got some extra and we’re making Egg Nog Ice Cream! Then serve up Egg Nog Milk Shakes on New Years—if you are over 21 add some bourbon and you’ve got yourself a pretty tasty treat for party toasts!
If you have an ice cream maker, simply add your egg nog into the ice cream maker and you are set. If you need to make egg nog for your ice cream maker, check the recipe below.
In a saucepan, combine almond milk, coconut cream, cinnamon, vanilla bean, vanilla seeds, and nutmeg. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Remove from heat and let rest.
In a large bowl beat egg yolks and sugar until combined and thick using an electric mixer. Slowly whisk in the almond milk mixture and continue to mix until the mixture is combined and smooth. Add bourbon and stir.
In a medium mixing bowl, beat the egg whites to soft peaks. With the mixer running gradually add 1 tablespoon of sugar and beat until stiff peaks form. Whisk the egg whites into the chilled mixture.
Serve and garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.
